Jonathan Moffett - KickPort Artist

Jonathan Moffett is an incredible talent and great friend of all of us at KickPort. He has been using the KickPorts for quite some time now and Sam flew down to set him up at the first Michael Jackson rehearsal in LA several months ago. Jonathan was using the KickPorts on his three kick drum set up. As it turned out of course, instead of a hugely successful tour, MJ tragically passed away. The new movie ‘This is It’ has footage from the rehearsals with Jonathan playing drums and MJ singing. Sam just saw the movie and said that in one scene MJ is standing in front of Jonathan’s kit and singing and the KickPorts are plainly visible in his bass drums.

We have been in a lot of TV Shows already, but this is very exciting to be in a movie. It’s even more exciting to have Michael Jackson singing right in front of amazing talent Jonathan Moffett with our KickPorts in his kick drums. At the same time… it’s so sad that MJ is not with us anymore and those were some of his last moments. Truly bittersweet…
